Established in the '60s, the Maryland Federation of Art is the state's oldest operating artist gallery, meaning it encourages the creative process by focusing on exhibits by student artists and emerging artists. The Federation has showcased works by the likes of photographer George Holzer, sculptor G. David Burch, and and mixed media artist Stan Wenocur. Its exhibition home is the Circle Gallery, a beautifully restored loft space in the Historic District, next to the State House.
